Weeks start on...well, whatever day you want them to, I suppose.

I'm going to try to make a list of things I want to accomplish by next Friday. I feel like I need the structure and the reminder, probably the accountability too. We'll see how it goes.

I want to develop a writing practice again, I want to tryyyy and maybe pick up doing visual art a bit more than I have because I think part of the reason I was able to crack out a story in three days was because I was giving my brain something besides writing to do.

I'm not even going to try to write/draw every day or anything like that but if I can do something small maybe twice/three times a week, that would be awesome.

Also, I want to send small parcels/postcards for the end of the year but I'm not sure how that's going to go. I have the stuff to dos o, I just need to get myself in gear to make it happen.

Had not said anything here but I did talk about this to [personal profile] fullupwithfire but I'm considering either starting a kind o gratitude/positivity practice either here or in a more private place. I'm still not sure yet. I kind of want to write them down physically but I also know I'm terrible about hand writing things.

Okay, I have to star getting my shit together, so I can transfer houses for Thanksgiving tomorrow.

Gratitude practices are so good and also so hard to keep going/make into true habit. Good luck!

:) That makes a lot of sense, and it's honestly a good way to refocus on the world.

I've generally done best at it when I have some form of external accountability and/or a specific time/day that I do it. And when I'm okay with saying something over and over again (e.g., if I were to say that I'm grateful for my cat, or that my girlfriend makes me happy, or sunlight, or flowers, or the other like five things that I often come back to -- that's okay, it's still part of the practice to say something you're grateful for even if it's the same thing), that's also a lot easier than the times when I give myself arbitrary things like 'no you need to come up with something new multiple times before defaulting back to those'.

Yay for plans and everything that remind you life is beautiful and you in the world adds to that beauty, is a good thing in my book.

((Hugs you))
