1.2k on Nano but I only left myself an hour to write in before bed so I need to... not do that today. :/

Edit: oh and bleary me almost forgot to say, but don't stress about comments! I think it's like an unofficial rule that everyone who hosts has at least a few days a month where they feel the need to say shit sorry can't get to comments haha. Nobody minds.

Another day of just pulling myself over the 300 words mark (manageable goals are clearly good for my writing, because I'm too obstinate not to try to fulfill them), and I'm glad I did, because I got 308 more writing across a couple of different ficlets. And I thought about other stories, but well, no words.

Manageable goals are always good. I know that I need to get back into the swing of writing soon before I completely lose the swing of things but going for something small, like 300 words, is really much less intimidating than trying to catch up to missing two days of NaNo level writing.

Yeah, it definitely is. One of the reasons why I've mostly made an agreement with myself not to try NaNo anymore (even if I think about it briefly every year). My time and energy levels have been unpredictable over the last years, and it's too likely I'd have a few days when I just can't do more than a bit of writing, and then I'd be thousands of words behind, and that would be so intimidating.

Day 6 brought me 2047 words, and day 7 2577 which I find surprising considering how exausted I was and how little time I had. Heh. I'm still sailing on that "beginning-of-NaNo-yay"-cloud, though.

I accidentally took yesterday off after a stressful thing happened, so I think I'm doing a little better now. I hope you're hanging in there too.
