A lot of people asked me about tarot which kind of makes me laugh. I love tarot, it makes me happy, but it's not something I connect with as much as I used to. It still has it's uses but is not the main portion of my divination when it comes to myself.

Now, when it comes to other people? Different story entirely.

I find that working with tarot makes a lot of sense to a lot of people, whereas working with my bones makes more sense to me personally. A lot of people know tarot more and feel more comfortable with their meanings and such. It' easier to communicate with them, rather than having to only depend on me and what I'm saying, which is often the case with my bone/curio readings because I've defined the meaning of each piece*.

In regards to trot and spirituality as a whole, it's...Okay, I will occasionally throw around the desire to be a muse. It's mostly a joke, as I can't enable people into creating professionally, but part of that is a desire to act as a communicator. I really love helping people, when my spoons allow, and I like passing along messages from...whatever you believe is out there.

It's the same with writing in a way, I like acting as the translator for the stories that grow in my brain. Stories tie into my spirituality too, in ways I'm still trying to puzzle out but there is something there. Messages and translations and acting as a vessel to hold important things is all tied into that.

So, I guess what I'm saying is that I really like being a mouthpiece for the universe. It makes me happy and feels like it is a part of what I should be doing in life.

If anyone would like, I might also put up a post offering to do readings for anyone who might be interested. 1-3 cards mostly but if you want a longer reading, we can negotiate something, if you are so inclined.


*This doe snot mean I don't use standard associations, I often do, but sometimes a certain piece will mean something to me that doesn't translate immediately to others.

Bones! I use some animal bones and other small items (pen nibs, stones and other stuff) for divination. It speaks to the corvid in me.

I was thinking about similarities. I have said for years that my art- especially the clay yonis and goddess forms - is me merely actually as a midwife. I help the process along, and try to keep myself out of the way. [ I actually put 'I am just a midwife' on my artist statement, under the discussion of influences. That has confused SO MANY HUMANS.] The other thing this reminds me of is the 'being a hollow bone' concept. That's something that trickled down my way via neoshamanism, so who knows where the idea originated. That idea, though, of being a conduit for spirit to pass through is so potent. I hadn't considered the possibility for being the hollow bone for Story before though. THAT IS SHINY.

The Muse bit makes so much sense to me. It's really easy to see - even if we hadn't talked about it before. ;D I keep my fingers quietly and perpetually crossed that you *can* find a way to do that professionally.
