[Friday Survival]
Jan. 25th, 2019 01:55 amThis week had been a goddamn rollercoaster for me but in the end, I still made it to Friday! :D WOosh!
I know January has been rough for some of us for a variety of reasons but I am so proud to still be here and see that you are too. It is awesome and worthy of praise and pretty much just damn impressive if you wask me. We have survived this long, we can keep going. I believe in all of us.
~
This post is for:
• being excited about the things you've done this week
• asking for help if you need it
• venting about anything that might need to be flailed over.
• showing off something cool you've done/made/experienced this week.
• being generally enthused and excited about things that have happened.
• just being thrilled that you survived.
Come drop into the comments and let us know how you're doing and how things have gone. While I may not respond to every comment myself, all of you are free to respond to each other and get encouragement, help or whatever else it is you need. If you want to vent without advice being given, please say so and if you want cheering or tips or anything, let us know that too.
I do ask that if you have any triggering topics, that you mention them in the subject line or first line of your comment. This is just so people can make informed decisions on what to read and keep everyone okay. <3 Thank you so much.

Date: 2019-01-25 10:45 pm (UTC)I have deep empathy for you on the cough. I somehow got bronchitis this week, and have been hacking my brains out.
And save your words! They may feel unworthy right now, but I bet they'll be good for something another day.

Date: 2019-01-26 12:31 am (UTC)Thank you. I don't know how it happened, but I got bronchitis after spending all of LAST weekend at home (for the bad weather than never arrived), had Monday off and just went to the lab for a blood draw and by 4pm, started to feel like utter crud. Went to the doc on Wednesday and he said "bronchitis".
So, coughing my brains out, am an utter snot monster, and just gave into it today and after a drugstore run for more cough meds, got back into my jammies.
Have cancelled all weekend plans and will just write (and hopefully make headway into finishing this thing).

Date: 2019-01-26 12:54 am (UTC)Ugh, I'm grateful it's not that level of coughing, mostly. Just enough to be irritating.

Date: 2019-01-26 02:55 am (UTC)(CW: moving, breakup, family, travel, money, mental and interpersonal angst)
...
...
...
...the rest of the move to my new place, a week at work, administrative shenanigans at work, my mom heading back to her house after helping me move in, not knowing where anything is in the new kitchen, and feeling simultaneously lonely and overwhelmed by the prospect of peopling.
(Broader context for recent move: house of evil bees, fleeing house of evil bees, breakup with partner who liked the house of evil bees, heartbreak, financial support from parents, lots of cardboard boxes.)
I am pleased to be able to be flippant and cheerfully pissed-off about this, because the mental swamp of Everything Is Dreadful is riiiiiight over there but so far I've only dunked myself in it up to my chin, not over my head.
So, yeah. How're y'all?
