Yes, yes I'm delayed this week. It's been a week but not a bad one. I have had a lot go on but it's been great. I have a new phone, I'm off my meds that were fucking me up and it's just been all around really pleasing.

I hope you guys are doing well and I will shush now and let you all spill your brains at comments.

Yay new phone & other good news!

I have been having fun doing digital art on my iPad. Still sick, but what can you do.

Yaaay art! Delicious art things are always good. Sorry for the illness, that is terrible and exhausting but I'm hoping you heal up sooner rather than later.

Took my car in to the shop to have its various systems flushed, wound up paying $300 extra because the power steering system was about to... explode or something. (I understood most of what the mechanic said at one point, but I'm very tired.) Had to do a short-term-financing thing with truly horrendous terms if it's not paid off within 3 months. Luckily I can afford to pay it off on payday, or by the end of June at the very latest. Still. I've done two round-trips on buses today, plus a lot of emotional stress. I might be looking at buying a newer car in hopes it'll need less maintenance, because this one is going on twenty-five years old pretty soon.

(I have absolutely no idea where to start with buying a car. Thank goodness I had scheduled this vacation time, though, because I wound up needing it. I hope I can get some actual rest and clarity on the whole work-stress thing I was actually taking the vacation for, too...)

Oooh, yeah. Car stuff is So Hard sometimes. Like, affording it is so difficult and I hope you can work out what will be best.

Colleen's home! It's going to take some adjusting and hard work, but at least she's here. Ticia is thrilled -- she may be my cat at night, but she's Colleen's during the daytime. (I think that's because she likes a lap that mostly stays put.)

I got a short story written and am going to try and get another few written before starting the next novel. I got some job applications in and while I probably won't get the jobs managing to get in the headspace to apply is something.

I swam five days out of seven, and on two of those days I swam a mile, of which I am quite proud.
