We've started a new fundraiser for various reasons, not limited to People Are Assholes And Jerks. Wife's managing it, I'm too run down to really handle anything at this point. Or at least anything that requires more brains that are needed to dribble out fanfic. >_>

job hunting fucking sucks, like, I'm signing up to proofread and edit freelance via Fiverr, that's how much it sucks

apartment hunting also sucks—met a set of potential roommates, can't live with them; they're lovely people but my lungs had a shitfit

I want to art so many but can't???

I've made the first tiny steps to finding a new therapist. I forget how hard this is. But now I can go home and have tea and a blanket, so there's that.

I put in four job applications this week, which isn't nearly enough but it's something. I've already gotten a rejection from one of them. Progress? (One was a lot of fun, though -- the application had some really thought-provoking questions on it. If I'm lucky I may get a good conversation out of it, which will be fun even if it doesn't go beyond that.)

Also, followed up on two medical referrals, and have already been to one of the corresponding appointments (PT for my trigger thumb).

I am so pleased with myself this week. Not only have I made daily progress on two specific tasks that I'm doing as part of a communal 100 days project, but I also spent time on That Project that Is so overdue just thinking about it makes me anxious.

Remember Shady Staffing Agency? I made the mistake of telling them that I was offered an interview with a prestigious university, for a job I applied for in JULY. Recruiter stressed that taking interviews with anyone else showed that I wasn't a dedicated employee. She also said not to say anything about this to the office where they placed me and that if I took the uni interview, it would be my last day working for the Agency.

I went back and forth on it, but university jobs don't come around often, especially for someone young and black. I took a chance and spoke to my office manager who said, "Take the interview. You have to look out for yourself." I'm glad that someone in this mess is looking out for me, even if it's not "my employer." Fingers crossed that I get the uni job and can leave this place ASAP.
