Early, early Friday post because I'm up and on the computer right now, so why not?
So, if you are not familiar, this post is
• for being excited about the things you've done this week
• for asking for help if you need it
• for venting about anything that mind need to be flailed over (but do let us know if you just need to vent, or if you'd like advice).
• for showing off something cool you've done/made/experienced this week.
• for being generally enthused and excited about things that have happened.
• for just being thrilled that you survived.
Come drop into the comments and let us know how you're doing and how things have gone. If you need cheer leading or anything, feel free to say so, or if you just want to vent and don't want any advice or anything, let us know.
I do ask that if you have any triggering topics, that you mention them in the subject line, or first line of your comment. This is just so people can make informed decisions on what to read and keep everyone okay. <3 Thank you so much.

Date: 2018-09-14 07:49 am (UTC)I've made it nearly until the end of the work week without any bad breakdowns, which is yay. :-) The past few weeks, my depression and/or anxiety always flared up badly at some point, but now I've been... mostly okay. This is an improvement!
Also, I'm trying to start a more regular exercise program, so to speak. I do adult ballet and I'm trying to really make it to my both weekly classes now, as well as do additional strengthening/fitness exercises from this one dance-related site I subscribe to, with the program provided there. I feel better (both physically and mentally) when I exercise regularly, but when my mental state is in chaos, the exercise easily falls aside. So I try to say somewhere I'm going to do this, to make it more likely I will.

Date: 2018-09-14 09:23 am (UTC)Anyway here's what's going on:
- Best friend's lovely and well loved mom on her unfair, too-early deathbed (fuck cancer)
- Internet not good enough for the intensity of emotions so got tickets yesterday and am flying 11 hours overseas tomorrow to be there a week
- My wife has an appointment to have a weird lump checked out September 25th
- The lump is probably thyroid cancer which can be a super easy thing to get rid of but see above re: fuck cancer and how this is A Lot right now
Kudos to my lovely library where everyone's offering hugs and taking off a week on very little notice is no problem at all, and THANK YOU silly garbage trash show (Guardian 镇魂) for existing as a distraction.

ugh spoooooons
(...does anyone have any free resources (or books) to recommend on how to business plan that don't immediately devolve into business jargon the way the library book I got did? books count as free resources if I can find them in the county library system)

Date: 2018-09-14 08:26 pm (UTC)... I should explain that. We're on the far side of the state from the (South) Carolina coast where Florence is, the cloud movements are the only sign there's something amiss thus far. We don't expect her to get here any time soon, either, unfortunately for the coast (11 FOOT storm surge, it's BAD out there),
I probably need more sleep, but the only time I really have for reading is right before bed and dammit if those Chinese webnovels aren't sucking me in hard... XD But they're good de-stressing, so....

Date: 2018-09-15 08:05 am (UTC)Good news, and not so good news
Date: 2018-09-15 09:19 am (UTC)In slightly happier news, a song idea that I had put into my "bad ideas?" file fell into fertile ground when I looked at the theme for the songwriting contest at an upcoming convention. The idea has now become a finished entry for the contest, and I am busy practicing it for performance there.

Date: 2018-09-16 06:57 am (UTC)We're looking to do better than just "settle". What we're targeting is more like "work something out", where we figure out how close we can get to everyone getting what they're hoping for, and how to get how much money everywhere that has to go to make it happen. Some hard realities are likely to get confronted along the way, and it may not be perfect, but we believe we can come up with an action plan we can all sign off on, that looks doable, and has as much uncertainty as we can squeezed out of it. Then we get to do it!
