Friday Survival

So, for those of you who are new here, I do this post every Friday. It's a check-in of its own variety and you can drop it at any point, not just Friday, and get some cheer and support and celebrating of accomplishments or just be proud that you survived.

Feel free to drop in and revel with the rest of us. Meanwhile, I need to post this and get to some actual word making today.

So, if you are not familiar, this post is
• for being excited about the things you've done this week
• for asking for help if you need it
• for venting about anything that mind need to be flailed over (but do let us know if you just need to vent, or if you'd like advice).
• for showing off something cool you've done/made/experienced this week.
• for being generally enthused and excited about things that have happened.
• for just being thrilled that you survived.

I have 2266 words in NaNo rn. And like. I'm already describing scenes instead of writing them. Can't I say "Catherine flirts successfully with Marinette" and carry on?

It's amazing how much environment affects mental health, it really is.

I'm 1193 words and 3 posts into NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month) -- seemed less ambitious than NaNoWriMo.

Apart from that I haven't been getting too much done. 5 job applications, 1 rejection, no phone screens or interviews.

I just came back from the most LOVELY weekend in Canada. It was the perfect thing to send me into my new job on Monday and GUESS WHO I MET WHEN I WAS THERE???. Yup. That's right. LEVAR. FUCKING. BURTON. I feel so #blessed right now, you have no idea. :D
