Friending policies:
Happy to add anyone who adds me. I like people most of the time even if I'm bad at doing the comment thing, both giving them to other people and replying to them in my own space.

I access lock most RL stuff, like mental health issues and things. However, you don't need to be added/subscribed to comment on anything and should feel free to pop in and out as you please.

A little more info on the voidbeast:
Currently, existing in lower Kentucky after having lived in Tennessee for a year and a half. These bones wander, and I have no idea where I'll end up next.

I'm really not very exciting. Most of my time is spent on the internet, writing, thinking about writing, or enabling other people to write.

Occasionally, I'll watch a movie.

Seriously though, if I could get a job as a professional muse, I would damn well do it. Writing and story is a huge part of my life but stories are how I got though hard points in my life and for me, a reason to keep surviving. Stories are also what I do for work, I'm a speculative fiction author, though I use a different name for all that.

I'm pretty much Pagan, although I hesitate to align myself to any real labels. My beliefs are constantly in flux and I learn new things that shape them all the time. I believe in divination and spirits and that there are deities out there, I'm just not sure which ones I follow yet.

My fannish existence:
My fannish life is mostly fic related. I write fic, I read it, I love it. My main fandom used to be MCU but right now I'm in flux.

Brief list of fandoms that I currently exist in: The Umbrella Academy (the current fave) // The Mechanisms (basically everything they/ve ever made) // Hannibal // Welcome To Night Vale (behind on canon, still poke fannish stuff occasionally) // The Devil's Carnival // Firefly // Good Omens // Myths and Fairytales // A ton of music // Some Seanan McGuire // MCU (I've fallen out of love since the recent films but it owned my fannish soul for so long, it felt weird not putting it here)

Things I'm super-enthusiastic (but not always fannish) about:
Telling stories, horror media, creepypasta and urban legends, art (especially in traditional mediums like watercolor and markers), books, divination, cooking, crafts (jewelry, candle making), perfume, organization methods (bullet journals are so interesting to me), alternative presentation (fashion/makeup/hair), traveling, photography, poetry, video games (single player, PC mostly), coffee, tea and other delicious warm drinks, music (Come talk to me about your favorite songs!).

Transformation works policy:
If you want to make a thing based off of my fannish thing, have at it! If you want to podfic, remix, fanmix, or whatever. I'm absolutely okay with it, as long as you let me know and show me what you've made.

With original fiction, I ask that you talk to me before making the thing. I'm probably not going to say no, I just definitely want to be aware that it's happening, that's all

I welcome all the following types of comments on ANY of my entries:
Single or two word comments, e.g. , woo!, yay, yes, no, please, thanks, absolutely, agreed, seconded, so much, no way, etc.
"+1" or Facebook style "like".
Otherwise brief comments, e.g. single sentences.
A comment that is a punctuation mark(s) to let me know you read, e.g. a period, an asterisk.
A comment that is a punctuation mark(s) to express your response, e.g. an exclamation mark or question mark.
A comment that is an emoticon(s) to express your response, e.g. \o/, <3, :), :(, :-D, :-P, etc.
Long, wordy comments. Rambling is totally okay.
Comments and links on related topics.
Comments on single links, entities, paragraphs, topics, or words in the entry. I throw out a lot of things each entry, and I don't expect anyone to have to come up with a coherent comment on each and every one of them to comment.
Sequential commentary. It's totally okay to comment about one thing as you read it, then another thing in a separate comment, then a third thing after you've chewed on it for a while and feel ready to talk about it.
Incoherent comments. It’s all good. I would rather have you here and showing interest,, even if it's just a *flail*, than for you to stay silent because you are afraid or unable to get the perfect comment out.
Talking amongst yourselves in the comments is fine. I like creating a place where people get to interact!

I also welcome:
Comments on older entries, access-locked or public.
Comments on VERY OLD entries, access-locked or public. I have many years of archives.
Comments from people who are not subscribed to me.
Comments from people who I’ve never met.
Comments from people who haven’t talked to me in awhile.
Comments from people who’ve never talked to me.
I like knowing the provenance of new commenters. If you're new, I'd love to know where you came from and what brought you here.

Hey there! You know, it never occurred to me before that there could be kinky aces? But now that I think about it, it makes sense. S/M is not necessarily sexual, so why would any of it be out of bounds for people who don't do much sexual desiring? People: a complex and evolving puzzle.

I feel you on the mental illness liek woah, as I am on the bipolar spectrum and probably autistic. Mixed states are a lot like that one Heironymous Bosch painting of Hell - torturous, tedious, anxiety-inducing, and yet somehow hilarious. I am not legally blind yet, but if my health keeps continually fucking up the way it tends to, that is a possibility. My glasses grow ever thicker. One day I look forward to replacing my defective meatsuit with a robot.
