Doing two days in a row because yesterday I failed I accidentally took a recovery day.

I have not started yet but I have hope that even if I don't write, I might do some brainstorming for a thing, which I am letting myself count as productivity at this point.

I managed about 3k and putting together a writing soundtrack for nano on the 7th, and around 1k each on nano and my multifandomtrope fic (which needs to be finished off... tomorrow, meep) today. But I also had to rework my whole nano scene/chapter plan to accommodate a new secondary love interest I wrote in by accident. It's good, I'm glad I did it and I'm really feeling the changes plus the new character helped me fill in some of the flimsier plot-light gaps in my outline for the second half of the book. The novel will definitely be stronger for it. But it also took up precious words time sigh. I was hoping to hit 3k on Nano each day from today through the 10th to catch up, so we'll see if I can pull off multitrope AND extra Nano words with my new outline I suppose...

*cheer you on!* I love soundtracks for stuff, I really do and I super hope you can manage all the words. I know I could not keep up 3k for any real amount of time but I'm so, so hoping you can do that thing.

On Day 7 I finished editing the Loki/Thor story, "At Long Last Home," and posted it. Yay!

Today (Day 8), I fixed a continuity issue in "At Long Last Home," and then wrote 1390 or so words on prompt fill for the Spicy Advent calendar. I figure it's about halfway done. (It was supposed to be a quick, porny thing. Uh...)

7th: 720 words

8th: only 480 words (a bit frustrating because if this keeps up I'm going to fall behind on my word goal...) but also I spent much of my time today 1) revising the 3(!) fics I've already more or less completed, and 2) taking a close look at my Yuletide recipient's requests, so I can start properly on that as my next thing.

The fact that I'm nonetheless annoyed at myself for "not writing enough" probably says more about how skewed my self-perceptions are. *eyeroll at self*

Remember, be kind to yourself. It may not feel like a lot of words but you're making them and any amount of progress is good. Even if you don't meet your word goals, you're doing good and you should try and feel proud of yourself for making that forward motion.

7th: 358 words for mini_wrimo, and 273 words on the 8th. Plus chipping away at the nonfiction project.

Sigh. I had to work long hours at the bookshop from Sunday to Tuesday, then Wednesday I helped my mom as usual. I was looking forward to today, when I had NO RESPONSIBILITIES and could, you know, WRITE ALL DAY. But I did that thing where, when I finally have time, writing is like pulling teeth, herding cats, trying to get blood from a turnip or some other cliche.

Oh well. I don't have many responsibilities tomorrow -- maybe just enough to take the pressure off so I can write something. 8-/

Anyway. I hope you are feeling better!

Oh man, I do the same thing. When I have a bunch of stuff to do, I want to write and can't. When i have nothing on my hands, writing is so hard and it's so frustrating.

Hope you're starting to feel better now! And no worries about missing a day, it happens every now and then. If you managed some brainstorming, it totally is productivity!

7th: I handwrote a bit over 200 words on the historical novel thing, and felt too tired and low to even try for the 300 word pledge. Except that then just before I was going to bed, I was hit by a desire to work on some fic, and ended up writing over 400 words more. Unexpected success!

8th: I brainstormed on the historical novel by way of associative mind maps, so coming up with a word count wasn't easy, but I figured it seemed to be around 300 words or a little more. And I finished one of the ficlets I'd begun the day before, bringing the total word count to about 400.

I really love the idea of mind mapping. I"m just terrible at it. XD I love that you can do it though, that's super cool!

But anyway, go you for finishing things :D That is excellent.

Day 8: 3700 words, Big Bang fic, half proper draft words, half brainstorming for upcoming scenes

After a slow start to the month, I'm caught up to where I should be for NaNo, yay! I do love that bar graph for motivation.

Big Bang is...fun, but I'm still not convinced I can finish (let alone edit) for the deadline. 13 days left. I'm gonna give it my best shot.
