I have a few things I wanna post about, mainly a video game post on all the games I'm in the middle of, the December posts I owe and possibly other stuff but for now, I'm going to drop a five-point tangenty post for new people to get to know me.

So!
- A quick rundown of the kinds of posts I make:
-- RL rambling

-- Prompt posts, both for fannish and original fiction.

-- Divination post (Usually tarot but Will do bone readings too).

- I'm teaching myself how to play the drum. My partner has one that we're both occasionally noodling around with and I'm hoping to get comfortable with it and eventually the two of us will maybe do random covers of songs we like.

- I am really into podcasts. I love story based podcasts like Night Vale and Magnus Archives but I am also into writing podcasts, short story podcasts and anything I can put into my ears really. I really, really want to start a podcast one day, though I keep fluttering around on what I want that concept to be, if it should be a story setting or randomness or what.

- I am published! I have a story in this anthology (also on Amazon) and other stuff coming out at some pint next year. I write primarily short fiction, though I have had an essay published as well. I technically have a Patreon that I'm trying to whip into shape but I have no idea if I'll ever get into the proper swing of that. I'm going to shoot for opening it up properly again next year though.

- I really am quite friendly. I sometimes go on quiet mode due to overwhelm but it really has not hing to do with other people and everything to do with how I function and have the habit of over-socializing and then isolating to recover. I bring this up, as I'm trying to get better about this whole thing and hopefully reminding myself every so often that I have this habit will help me be kinder to myself in regards to dealing with it.

I have plenty of space on the December Talking meme, so feel free to leave prompts if you are so inclined. Beyond that, I think I'm done for now and I hope this all finds you well.

Oooh drums, that is so cool! I learned drums informally at college for a bit, but I always preferred guitar so it never really stuck.

And wow, that anthology sounds awesome! That's going straight on my goodreads to read list!

I tried teaching myself ukulele but I never jived with it. On the other hand, I grew up with a drum in the house and my dad would let me play with it when he was alive, so i has good associations.

Story-based podcasts! How do you feel about The Hidden Almanac? Or rpg podcasts?

I return bearing recs! I have only listened to some of these and am not current on those few. So these are more general recs?

Critical Role - D&D, professional voice actors (and you can tell they're actors, they get really descriptive), the first several episodes of season 1 have really bad sound issues, season 2 is a new campaign and does not require knowledge of season 1 and it's got really great sound quality

The Adventure Zone - three adult brothers and their father play D&D, one of the brothers is the DM, and things get silly and weird and full of feels.

Champions of the Earth - not D&D, liveplay but cut and with effects to be more like an audiodrama, super sentai-ish (teens get powers to save the world), I have just started this and I am really digging it.

Plunders & Blunders - D&D, liveplay, I'm still at the low-level buncha hooligans stage and it's super fun

High Rollers - D&D, UK-based, great quality, have not listened to it myself but it keeps getting recced around.

Venture Maidens is all-ladies D&D rpg in podcast format and was the one I meant to rec. Brains are weird sometimes.
