—I am writing a novel. I thought when I started typing this one it would be a novelette. It is not a novelette; the part posted is very nearly novelette-length in itself. I thought when I posted that I was putting up the first of four parts of a novella.

IT IS A NOVEL.

…I mentioned this in a Discord for that fandom and everyone got excited, especially the people who hadn't noticed it was 1/? instead of 1/1 to begin with!

To be clear, it's a fanfic? But goddamn I'm hoping I can get this drafted before I stall. I have only been trying to figure out this novel-writing thing for fifteen years!

I put out a call for testers on two knitting patterns I designed. The second call received responses the same day! That's never happened to me before; since my designs are rather niche it usually takes a few weeks before I get any interest.

I got to see two different friends this week, neither of whom I had seen in ages! Two very good times.

My break from theater is nearly over. Or I suppose theater's break from me, since it was _its_ idea to not hang out, not mine. I should be excited, and I know I'll have multitudes of amazing moments on the next project, but I'm just dreading it. I feel like I'm appreciated far more for what I do than for who I am . Stop doing, appreciation faucet turns off. I'll be turning it back on means I get the thing I've been at a critical shortage of for months, but its conditionality is infinitely despiriting on a personal level.

On the personal front, I think back to 6 months ago and reflecting upon feeling loved. Now... well, now there's still Spouse, but all the other Shiny Bright Possibilities are, one way or another, absent from my life, or unlikely to be shaped in a configuration I'd find satisfying. Poly's an efficient way to be rejected by more people at once, right?

So so so many things have happened that I'll just keep it positive.
- I have 3 phone interviews this week, so I'm hoping at least 1 of them pans out.
