Okay, one more wordy meme thing (I'm going to finish the other thing tonight/tomorrow but sleep might be a thing that happens first, we'll see):

So, I've been trying to articulate this for a bit but I can't quite form it properly.

The short version is a story about War, through different battles throughout history, as she dances on the battlefields with the dying but victorious sides of wars.

I don't know, it's a thing and I kind of want it but I have trouble articulating dancing and it's...yeah. A thing. But that is what came to mind.

Greek Myth (or variant fandom - Hadestown etc), Hades, "Epistolary"

Hades through history, reading letters written by those in the process of losing people. It's an exploration of the changing world and ways of grieving as much as it is an exploration of him, his reactions and things of that nature.

My favorite part is the end, where he writes his own letter, saying goodbye to the past, to the old stories and beliefs people have carried with them about the myths of the underworld and in turn, him.

Also, the part where he walks away from the underworld, just for a while, to greet the modern age, sunlight on his skin, people milling about, traffic and city sounds ringing n his hears, while Persephone smiles at him and tosses a few coins in the guitar case of a busker, is one of my favorite images of this already.

Diego deals with his family trauma through violence. Fighting, and saving people and bleeding. His blood, other people's, it doesn't matter. The blood spilled is a weird sot of offering and purification mixed together. If he bleed out enough of what lingers from his father, from his old scars, he can be a better man in the future.

My favorite part is where, after S1, Diego goes out to do some repenting (i.e. punching someone in the face) and Vanya stops him, instead offering to let him stay with her and, if he wants, she can make him bleed.

This may or may not be the start of a Diego/Vanya BDSM thing but you know

rhythms that never come clean and strengths that you still haven't seen:
The one in which Hannibal is completely human, but Will is magic touched, with something akin to Cecil's music. He hears the rhythms of the world and can use them if he can focus enough.
After Abigail dies, she follows him as a ghost, and he can still hear her heartbeat,, still hear her whispering to him. She helps him learn how to wield the rhythms and between the two of them, they...not subdued Hannibal rather, make him dance to their tune. It's mindfucky, vaguely D/s and in the end, I think Abigail learns how to manipulate Will into manipulating Hannibal and it's all...A thing. So yeah.

There's a very distinct image of Will in the woods, listening to birds and humming along with them. The trees start to blow, and as he hums, he can feel an echo f a hand on his arm. He opens hi s eye and sees Abigail watching him, her eyes wide because it's the first time she's been able to see the sun since she died. He reaches out to her, his fingers hovering just above her skin, and he taps out her heartbeat into the air as she takes over humming the bird song.
